Hello I’m Roswitha Schepanski from Frankfurt/Germany. Ma Grandfmother’s name was Sczczepanski (she changed, by leavin poland at 1945) great to see, that there are so many people with the same roots.

Szczepański is not necessarily from hebrew! Presenting a purely etymological analysis, the name is a derivative of the Polish SZCZEP for CLAN! The words elemental form is SKEP with S<>SZ and K<>CZ which are standard convolutions. Hence Szcepański means Clansman.
